In general, maintaining a healthy diet is important for anyone living with HIV. Good nutrition supports the immune system, helps one maintain a healthy weight, and enables the absorption of HIV medicines more efficiently.

  • Eat a variety of foods from the five food groups: fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins foods, and dairy.
  • Eat the right amount of food to maintain a healthy weight.
